What's the difference between shower gel and body wash?

i know you use shower gel and body wash to wash body.What's the difference between shower gel and body wash?
A shower gel works like a Perfume for the body that last longer,normally it is backed up with a lotion, Body Wash is just that a gel like soap that makes lather with a sponge and keeps you FRESH. shower gel is for person who would rather not use soap. AND the Scent last longer.What's the difference between shower gel and body wash?

depends on where u get it !!! if its walmart its body wash if its from a fancy place its shower gel they are the same thing just one may have a antibacterial agent in it!! mostly shower gels are for pretty smell and body wash is to cleanse!! hope this helps!
I love the Shower gel you get at bath and body. It smells so yummy. And so many kinds. But also the stuff you get at Wal mart that has green tea in it smells good to.
I think they're the same, just different companies, different names.

Basically the same but some of the shower gels you can use as shampoo the body wash is just that for your body.
Shower gel is specially formulated to use in the shower under running water.
